The “Power” Ciborium now residing in St. Patrick’s College Maynooth. This photo was taken in 1909 when Rev. Power was writing about the object for the Journal of the Waterford and South East of Ireland Archaeological Society. Below is a contemporary photograph taken for our 3D recording project.
First step of our digital curation project in conjunction with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. Using a back-light the negatives were placed between two planes of glass and photographed next to a scale. The resulting photograph was then inverted to give the new photographic product.
Set up for my first attempt at creating a 3D object using photogrammetry (Structure from Motion). The object was placed in a lightbox and photographed from various angles in order to create a 3D appearance. The object was a pink stress pig kindly donated by @irishgeek79
