About me

Hello! My name is Marianna Sylivrili and I am a MSc student in MA Digital Humanities at NUI Maynooth.
I have completed my undergraduate studies in the Department of Philology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (http://www.lit.auth.gr/en/node/8) with specialization in Medieval and Modern Greek Literature. In the context of my university modules I have also studied ancient Greek, Latin, Linguistics and European Literature.
In parallel with my graduate studies I have attended seminars which relate to Publishing and more specifically to the edition of literary and scientific texts. I am very interested in the area of publishing and I plan to pursue this career in the future. I believe that Digital Humanities will help revolutionize the field of publishing and editing in the future.

After my graduation, I attended an online seminar on ‘Modern Greek Philology and the Digital Humanities’ , offered by the University of Ioannina, Greece and an intensive seminar on ‘Modern Greek Literature and the Digital Humanities: Trends and Perspectives’ offered by a greek publishing house.
After I have been introduced into the field of digital humanities applied on Greek literature, I decided that I want to explore the amazing and promising world of Digital Humanities. So, here I am! I hope that you find my work interesting!

Thank you!
